Mount Merbabu, Central Java
With an altitude of 3,145 meters above sea level, the summit of Mount Merbabu offers its own uniqueness and beauty. Because from this place climbers can see clearly seven other mountain peaks, namely: Mount Sumbing, Mount Sindoro, Dieng Plateau, Mount Telomoyo, Mount Ungaran, Mount Merapi and Mount Lawu.
Climbing to the top of Mount Merbabu takes around 14 hours commuting, and the recommended time to start the journey is midnight so that it can arrive at the peak to coincide with the sunrise. You can also spend more time camping here. Climbers usually start the journey from Kopeng, but can also from Selo in the south for more challenging terrain.
Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park
Although the name of Mount Bromo is far more famous, to enjoy the beauty of the majestic mountain is best viewed from Mount Penanjakan. At its peak visitors can simultaneously see Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru.
The best time to start climbing on Mount Penanjakan is around 4 o’clock in the morning so you can arrive at the top just as the sun goes out. Most visitors choose to rent a vehicle to take to the summit, but a two-hour walk through Cemoro Lawang offers its own experience.
Prau Mount, Central Java
The mountain which is located at an altitude of 2,565 meters above sea level is located in the Dieng plateau, Central Java. Anyone who climbs the mountain for the first time will have no trouble reaching its peak.
From the top of this mountain, you will see a charming view of Sindoro and Sumbing. Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture the moment here.
There are 3 hiking trails, namely patak banteng, dieng kulon, kendal. The most crowded and easy to reach is the patak banteng due to its location near the main road to the Dieng Tourism location. This hiking trail is only around 2.5-3 hours.
Mount Kelimutu, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara
Who doesn’t know the exoticism of Flores Island? One of them is the peak of Mount Kelimutu, namely Lake Kelimutu. Lake Kelimutu is often called a three-color lake, because it has 3 different colors.
Mount Kelimutu has an altitude of 1,639 masl or 5,377 feet. The location is in Pemo Village, Kelimutu District, Ende Regency, Flores, NTT.
No need to bother tracking to get to the top. Because, Mount Kelimutu already has a stair facility that takes you to the top.
Mount Kerinci, West Sumatra
If you want to feel the climb is a little extreme, you need to go to Mount Kerinci, located in Jambi Province, West Sumatra. Cool, Mount Kerinci is the highest volcano in Southeast Asia, which is 3,805 masl.
This mountain is also one of the most favorite hiking spots in Indonesia. Arriving at the top, you will be presented with a spectacular view of the crater which is so charming.
Mount Gede, West Java
The view of Mount Gede need not be doubted. No wonder why this mountain is always selling well visited by tourists or climbers. This mountain is located in the area of Gede Parango National Park, Bogor, Cianjur, Sukabumi, West Java.
There are some of the most beautiful places in Mount Gede, namely Alun-Alun Suryakencana, Telaga Biru, Cibeureum Waterfall, Kandang Batu and Kandang Bada, and the summit of Mount Gede.
However, the most favorite place here is Surya kencana Square, as a savanna that is overgrown with Edelweiss flowers.
Mount Sibayak, Berastagi, North Sumatra
Sibayak Mountain is a hiking place that is perfect for those of you who like challenges. The condition of the rocks at the peak is a challenge for climbers to test the adrenaline and conquer the peak.
The view of the sunrise from the summit is the main target of the climbers. In addition to the beauty of the peak scenery, you will be refreshed by water flowing from between the mountain rocks. In addition, there are also natural hot springs that can be used for bathing. For those of you who don’t want to bother you don’t need to worry because you can do a short climb for a day.
Mount Batur, Bali
Mount Batur with an altitude of 1,717 masl is the perfect hiking spot for those of you who are still beginners. This mountain tour that is not too high is approximately a 2 hour trip to the top. Seeing the sunrise from the summit of Mount Batur will be an unforgettable experience. You can see Lake Batur from a height, Mount Abang, Kintamani village, orange groves and a vast expanse of pine forest.

Mount Merapi, Central Java
Mount Merapi is one of the volcanoes that is still active today. Mount Merapi has a height peak of around 2930 masl. Gunung is located adjacent to Sleman Regency ( Yogyakarta ), Magelang Regency on the western boundary, Klaten Regency in the Southeast and Boyolali Regency on the East and North Coast. Merapi still often has dangerous activities for the community and climbers, so climbers must follow the estimate of the condition of the peak of Merapi.

Mount Lawu, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java
Mount Lawu is one of the mountains that has become the destination of climbers from various regions in Indonesia. If you just want to enjoy the cool air and a comfortable place then you can start climbing from Cemoro Sewu or Cemoro Kandang. After that you can walk to the strawberry garden, lake sarangan, or out bond around the Tawangmangu area.
Mount Lawu is a beautiful mountainous area that borders between Central Java and East Java. The mountain which is located at an altitude of 3265 masl is located in the Karanganyar regency and borders Magelang Regency on the east side. Mount Lawu has been declared a volcano that was inactive and last erupted in 1885.
The mountain region consists of slopes that still emit sulfur. The Lawu area consists of tropical forest areas and very profitable springs. The Lawu mountain area is one of the tourist attractions in Karanganyar.
